IDP Features
Individual Development Plan (IDP) Tool is a software which assists employees in career and personal development. Its primary purpose is to help employees reach short and long-term career goals, as well as improve current job performance. This typical Talent Assessment Process takes place in 3 steps.

Talent Assessment: Typically done through a battery of tests including psychometric tests and/or Development Centre/Assessment Centre (AC/DC) methodology. Competency-wise Strengths and Development Areas for the individual are identified. These competencies are part of a behavioral/leadership competency framework.

IDP Creation: An Individual Development Plan (IDP) is created for the individual. This is based on three/four inputs: what the individual wants to work upon, what the manager thinks the individual should work upon, the AC/DC outcomes, and what the coach or AC DC assessor suggests. IDP contains SMART goals which need to be tracked typically over a period of 3-6 months.

Completion: After the completion of the whole process, a review is done, where the individual, the manager and the coach/assessor jointly review the progress on the identified actions. Based on the progress, further steps, such as promotion, expansion of the role, further developments etc. are taken.
